Introduction

Most of the energy management systems used by many countries are referenced from the framework of ISO 50001:2018 – The Energy Management System (EnMS). The EnMS is a document that provides the requirements of the standard to establish the systems and processes to continually improve energy performance, including energy efficiency, energy use and energy consumption. This module provides the overview of ISO 50001:2018 to help integrate energy management into the business practice to meet the goals reducing energy consumption and reducing energy-related greenhouse gas emissions.
