CONCRETE TECHNOLOGY
DPWH-Aligned | 40 Hours | 4 Days | 10 Hours per Day
COURSE DESCRITPION
This course provides a comprehensive understanding of concrete materials, mix design principles, production processes, placement methods, and quality control procedures used in construction projects. The program covers the properties and behavior of cement, aggregates, water, and chemical admixtures, as well as methods for concrete batching, transportation, placement, compaction, and curing.
Participants will also learn laboratory and field testing procedures, mix proportioning techniques, concrete durability considerations, and troubleshooting of common concrete defects. The training aligns with DPWH Standard Specifications and recognized engineering standards and is designed to enhance the technical competency of engineers involved in construction supervision, materials engineering, and quality assurance.
This training is designed to enhance the technical capability of engineers and construction practitioners involved in road construction, materials testing, project supervision, and quality control, and credited as part of the training requirements for Contractors’/Consultants’ Project Engineer (CCPE) accreditation.
