Course Description
Training of Trainers for Safety Officers is a supplementary course aimed at helping Safety Officers comply with specific provisions of RA 11058 that require Safety Officers to conduct safety training/orientation to workers to inform them of the hazards present at work and how to prevent accidents and illnesses.
With the passage of the new law, Training of Trainers has been included as part of the mandatory OSH courses for Safety Officers, namely OSH for Safety Officers 1 and the 40-hour BOSH and COSH. This means that graduates of the BOSH and COSH courses before the OSH Law will need to take the Training of Trainers in order to be qualified to conduct the Mandatory Eight-Hour OSH Training/Orientation for all workers.
Target Participants
Safety Officers; Graduates of the old versions of BOSH and COSH (before the OSH Law was made effective).
Course Objectives
Upon completing the course, students are able to:
- explain the essentials of effective presentation,
- apply the learning facilitation skills, and
- fulfil the roles of an OSH trainer.
Very helpful and informative.
