🔌 Energy Auditor Re-Certification Course (EARC)

2-Day Course Design (16 Hours)
Aligned with DOE Energy Efficiency & Conservation Act (RA 11285) Guidelines

📘 Brief Description of the Training

The Energy Auditor Re-Certification Course (EARC) is a mandatory refresher and competency validation program for DOE-Certified Energy Auditors (CEA) whose certification is nearing expiration.

This 2-day (16-hour) course is designed to update, reinforce, and validate the auditor’s competence in conducting Level 2 Energy Audits, Investment Grade Audits (IGA), Measurement & Verification (M&V), financial analysis, and emerging technologies, in accordance with Department of Energy guidelines and the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act (RA 11285).

The program combines policy updates, advanced technical refreshers, case-based workshops, and applied calculations, ensuring auditors remain compliant, competent, and industry-ready.

🎯 Learning Objectives

At the end of the 2-day re-certification course, participants will be able to:

  • Reaffirm compliance with RA 11285, its IRR, and recent DOE circulars and guidelines
  • Differentiate and apply Level 1 vs Level 2 Energy Audit requirements
  • Conduct and evaluate Measurement & Verification (M&V) using ISO 50015 / IPMVP principles
  • Perform Investment Grade Energy Audits (IGA) and identify viable Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs)
  • Apply financial analysis and modeling for energy projects (NPV, IRR, payback, sensitivity analysis)
  • Integrate data analytics, IoT, and digital tools in modern energy auditing
  • Update knowledge on renewable energy systems and transport (ICE–EV) energy efficiency policies
  • Demonstrate continued technical competence and ethical fitness as a DOE-Certified Energy Auditor
