Project Quality Assurance
Brief Description
The Project Quality Assurance Training Program is a comprehensive 40-hour professional development course designed to strengthen the competency of engineers and construction professionals in implementing effective quality management systems in infrastructure and construction projects.
The course provides a practical understanding of quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) principles, emphasizing the systematic prevention of defects, compliance with contract specifications, and adherence to recognized standards such as DPWH Standard Specifications, project contract documents, and internationally recognized quality management practices.
Participants will learn how to develop and implement key quality management tools used in construction projects, including Project Quality Plans (PQP), Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), method statements, quality documentation systems, and corrective action procedures. The program also discusses quality audits, materials control, inspection systems, and continuous improvement practices that help reduce rework, delays, and contractual disputes.
Through lectures, case studies, and practical workshops, the course equips participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to establish, implement, monitor, and improve project quality management systems from project planning through project completion and handover.
This training supports engineers and construction professionals who are seeking to strengthen their capability in construction quality management and compliance with the Continuing Construction Project Engineer (CCPE) training requirements for DPWH accreditation.
