Safety and Health Program Auditing Course (SHPAC)
Course Description
A 40-hour advanced course on occupational safety and health designed for equipping safety officers and members of the safety and health committee with applied knowledge and skills to prevent to audit a Safety and Health Program, determine its effectiveness and identity areas for corrective action and improvement.
Objectives
At the end of the training, participants shall be able to:
- explain the benefits of implementing an effective safety and health program;
- describe the elements of an effective safety and health program;
- discuss the importance of audit to make safety and health programs effective;
- develop a safety and health audit plan;
- create an audit checklist;
- conduct a safety and health audit;
- describe the roles and traits of an effective auditor;
- prepare and present audit findings; and
- create a corrective action plan.
